Tim Allen, who is known as the “Timber Wolf” for his role as the town sheriff in the popular 1990s show “Hee Haw,” said he is “looking after myself” after his vehicle caught fire while he was driving around in the Dallas area a little over five months ago.

On Tuesday, the “Home Improvement” star took to social media on Tuesday evening and posted a photograph of him and wife Laura Palmer on their front porch with a message to his followers expressing his gratitude.

“What went down at about 9:30 last night at our front porch in the Dallas area has been in the news almost non-stop for the past 14 months. Thanks to all of you who reached out to ask for my well wishes, and thank you to all of you who have been here to see the show,” Allen wrote in the caption of a photo of Palmer and herself on the front porch.

“My good friends and I are so grateful for everyone who has reached out to say well wishes, and we are so thankful for all of you who continue to support us in the years to come.”

In the photo, which was captioned “Thanks For The Memories,” Palmer was holding a stuffed elephant that she had given Allen after a photo session they had with their two daughters.

Allen’s car caught fire while he was driving to a Christmas party on Saturday night.

ABC reported that the car was fully engulfed in flames and that the actress got out of the car to inspect the damage. Though Allen and Palmer got out of their vehicle, they both suffered minor burns to their hands, but that left Palmer’s face untouched.
